Saturday, thanks to an invite from Diane Glassmeyer , I was able to take Ollie (my lab) and pick up birds at the pheasant tower shoot.
I have no other experience to compare with but will say this – it was a wonderful time. Have personally never shot birds before but kid wants to go…and I am having considerations myself! Even with other tower shoots closer to me, this will be my 1st choice, when we go! It seems no detail is spared – food, snacks, water, shelter, ammo, etc.
For my personal experience – absolutely thankful for the opportunity Mindy and Diane offer. Son was allowed to come, help out, and even got the opportunity to watch the birds get cleaned!
I live 2-1/2 hours S. Originally, I came for son and to help train my dog. In the future, if invitations are extended, i will come back because of how everyone is treated.
